Review

Interpol agent Claudette D'Laquois is on the run. Dull Uncle Paul and his rundown chateau in Nice, France are her only safe haven. She never allowed for a delectable estate manager more threatening than the Russian mob boss who wants her dead.

Three weeks of overseeing the operations on his friend's orchard seems like the ideal vacation to CPA Don Hobbs. It was-until a sex goddess pulls him into a world of drugs and intrigue.

I enjoyed this story…as if it needed to be asked. I’m not a person who tries new authors or new genres too easily. But I am happy that I have discovered Sloane Taylor. Her writing style is so smooth and so elegant. She really does have a “voice” all her own and stands out above all others. She knows how to build characters who make a lasting impression and characters you grow to love and you want to see them have their happily ever after story. Her plots are always thick and deep, even in her quick reads, they still have a point, and believe me she gets her point across clearly. If you are looking for a new author or a new book to read than I recommend Sloane Taylor and her series: French Tart, French Delight, French Kiss, and French Twist. You can read them in any order, I didn’t find myself lost in any of them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Review:

Donatienne Dubois is only trying to fulfill her dream and prove to her father once and for all that she can do something without causing trouble. Her first day of cooking school does not go as planned and she finds trouble or rather it finds her.

Mark Edwards is posing as an aspiring chef. He has been hired by Doni's father to watch out for her while she is in Paris and make sure she does not get into too much trouble. The question he must ask himself, will he be able to control his emotions around her long enough to help her?

Another great read from Sloane Taylor! This is the first book of this series and it starts the series off with a bang and high expectations of what’s to come next. The only thing I found awkward about this story was the heroine’s name, I wasn’t sure how to pronounce it but Ms. Taylor quickly cleared that up by calling her Doni. The characters were great and strong. The story was wonderfully written. The plot jumps up and grabs you by the arm leading you through this beautiful tale of two people falling in love. *Sigh*…the power of a romance novel! You must get the four books in this series and read them all! You are taken to a fantasyland in every single one. Ms. Taylor will be an author you quickly add to your list. I cannot wait to read more from her out of this series.

Review:

Gail longs for a mate but is picky about who she dates. Jason knows she’s his mate, but can their differences be overcome by love? The dangers of a wild wolf pack throw two unlikely felines together because there’s safety in numbers, right?

Opposites Attract is a very satisfying read on many levels. First, you have the incredible characters. Second, you have the unique plot, and last, the steamy scenes between Jason and Gail. Both characters are very rounded and very different than most characters in other paranormal books. These two characters seem so real to me, they are easy to relate to…well other than the paranormal part of their make. But the way they act towards one another and what lies ahead of them. They jump off the page at you and hold your attention until the very end. It’s a great book and the author Mary Alice Pritchard did an extraordinary job, she’s a new author to me and I can’t wait to see more from her in the future.

Review:

Kelsie doesn't believe in ghosts. So why is she camped out at her elderly aunt Maud's house to take part in an exorcism? Maud hasn't let a man in the house for forty years, which leaves Kelsie at a loss to explain the smell of hot male and the most erotic dreams of her life that overtake her the instant she arrives. After one particularly tasty midnight encounter, Kelsie awakes to a vision that is not hard to swallow at all: three gorgeous, naked and very eager hunks standing at the end of her bed. The good news is they want to fulfill her every erotic fantasy. The weird news is they're ghosts! Now it's up to Kelsie to thwart the exorcist and secure a lifetime's supply of hard spirits.

I loved this book! It excited me from the beginning to the end. It’s a short read that is living out every fantasy women have. Kelsie gets a chance to explore her sexuality and what her desires are. She’s even surprised at herself with some of them. She’s a strong character. For someone to say this book is strictly sex they would be sadly mistaken. There is a log going on that doesn’t have to do with sex. Kelsie has to please her aunt and make her feel at ease with the home so that the exorcist won’t get rid of her ghosts. If you’re a fan of paranormal or erotica tales than this story will blow you away!

Review:

Straight-laced children’s author, Rachel Conklin, awakens on a deserted island wrapped in the arms of a sexy pirate. Convinced she’s in a dream conjured from the pages of her breakout novel, Rachel casts her inhibitions to the wind and rides the waves of passion.

Pediatrician Henri Bernier wasn’t quite sure what to do with the sexy mermaid he’d pulled from the sea. Then she started kissing him and sent his libido soaring. Now the good doctor is ready for anything.

This story starts out hot and gets even hotter. So far it is the favorite of this series for me. Even though Ms. Taylor fills the pages with erotic scenes her characters are strong. The plot is even stronger. The story is compelling and it’s like being lost in a fantasyland. One any woman would love to delve in. I love the cover it's so romantic and sweet and fits the story wonderfully. It’s a great quickie for any erotic reader fan!

Review:

Lisette Hugo arrives in Nice, France to rescue her irresponsible friend then pamper herself with an overdue vacation. As an added delight, her run down rental cottage comes complete with a sexy French gardener well equipped to satisfy all of her fantasies.

Paul D’Laquois, an impoverished research scientist scraping by on the remnants of his family’s estate, has poured his meager resources into his work. He couldn’t be happier when a wealthy tourist rents his dilapidated cottage. That she’s beautiful, seductive and more than interested in him convinces Paul he’s not as dried up as his orchard.

This was a very interesting and enjoyable read for me. Not only did I learn a lot from the characters and the plot, but also I enjoyed what I learned. Lisette and Paul are very compelling and strong characters. They are very attracted to one another, but it’s not just sex, there is romance as well. The sex is hotter than hot between these two. I love the fact that Lisette is strong and independent and isn’t afraid to explore her sexuality. It’s a great read and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

Review:

French émigré, Olivier Davignon, is determined to prove himself worthy of Maisie Tindall at any cost. With Maisie's brother by his side, he becomes a highwayman in an effort to acquire enough wealth to offer for her hand. When things go awry and Olivier ends up wounded, he confesses to Maisie what he has done it all for her.

Unbeknownst to Olivier, Maisie has loved him since their first meeting, but his confession leaves her doubting they can ever have a future, despite how desperately she wants to be with him.

This quickie was charming and intriguing. It starts out right away with action with Olivier being injured and Maisie’s brother, Justin coming to his rescue. It’s up to Maisie to stitch his wound and save his life, she can’t let him bleed to death. At least not before she had the chance to tell him that she loved him. While Maisie is taking care of Olivier it puts them in a very intimate situation, both of them realize just how much they want each other. Ms. Darling has done an exceptional job with this story. It moves rather quickly from one point to another, all very clear and suitable for the story. I can’t wait to read more from this author and I’m sure others will agree with me.

Satisfy Me by Madison Scott

Tyson Malone is being stalked by a ghost. Between bouts of calling him Sugar Lips and Hot Cakes, the apparition makes it her goal to get Ty together with his sexy neighbor, Maggie Jacobson. Unfortunately, for her, Ty doesn’t do the relationship thing. He does sex with a no relationship clause. One look at Maggie is all it takes to know she’s a relationship kind of woman. Maggie is tired of living her life the way others dictate. When her mom leaves her a journal left behind by a grandmother she never met, Maggie is inspired.
This brave woman lived her life by her own set of rules and Maggie is ready to do the same. After moving to a new town, she meets Ty, a man who inspires her in a whole new, very sexual way. Taking control for the first time in her life, Maggie propositions him with a no strings affair. Soon they begin a journey to sexual satisfaction and bringing her fantasies to life.
Holy hot neighbor sex, Batman! This was one steamy read! I love a story that starts in the hero’s point of view because the way a man thinks fascinates me. Tyson Malone didn’t disappoint me, he’s all alpha male, right down to his manly talk and gutter mind. And his mind can’t stop thinking about his lovely new neighbor, Maggie Johnson. When he blurts out how hot he thinks she is, she’s shocked – no man has ever said such things to her. So, she propositions him for a sex-only relationship. It doesn’t take long for both of them to start realizing there’s more to their attraction than just sex though and it’s fun to watch their relationship develop into something deeper. And I always say the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Ty Malone definitely falls for the girl next door! Madison Scott is a great writer with dead on instincts for portraying how a man thinks and feels about sex and love and Maggie’s feelings felt realistic to me as well. Aside from some cruder language than I like to hear in a guy, I would recommend Satisfy Me to anyone who likes an erotic read!
